New PostFebruary 3 - Sick Of Winter

New Post

Okay I've had enough. The snow is melting but the famous groundhog, Punxsutawney PhilExternal Link decided that there will be six more weeks of winter. I'm so done with it now.

We certainly can get slammed with Nor'easters', blizzards, and Alberta Clippers during March and yes even April, but I hope not.

Last spring and summer and into the fall the kidlet and I practically lived outside, and now I am itching for that again, as I am sure, is he.

It is staying light longer, and I am longing for those increased daylight hours. The good news is that Daylight Savings Time begins on March 9th this year. Whoohoo!

Yes, as a native New Englander I love my four distinct seasons. I do. But there is a point when you just want winter to go away now. You tire of the cold and the wet and the dreary gray. The pretty pretty snow looses it's white and gets dirty and yucky. Looking out the window is blah.

But then, that is part of the charm of spring, when Mother Earth sheds the dullness of late winter and bursts forth with life anew.

And that my friends is wonderful and magical. Yes it is.
