New PostFebruary 13 - Crafty

New Post

Crafty Glitter glue... Turbo-tot, myself and my kitchen have been covered in the sparkley sticky stuff each day thus far this week. Glitter glue and marker and finger paint.

We have been busy making valentine cards of the precious three year old kind. You know..stuff glued on all crooked and cockeyed. Globs of glitter and bunches of scribbles. In other words, the most precious home made construction paper cards.

These are the things that make you go 'awwww' all of those many years later when the child is all grown up and you go through that old 'memory box'.

There is always something on my counter drying. Be it a painting, paper with globs of glitter glue, or a 'book' with glued in pictures. Hence I am always sticking my sleeves on something wet, sticky, or glittery.

The cards will curl and fade, the glitter will fall off in places, but the memory of the moments and the time spent creating them...well now, that lives on forever deep within the heart.

Someday the cutting will be smoother, the scribbles will be no more, that which is glued on will be straight. But I think these projects made by little pre-schooler hands are the most precious ones of all.
