New PostApril 12 - Spring!

New Post

Ahhhh spring! The daffy's in the yard have bloomed, and I have pulled the plastic from one window and a warm breeze is blowing into the room. I am wearing shot sleeves.

However, as antsy as I am to get the yard cleaned up that task has to wait. It was a wet winter. There was a lot of snow. There was rain. LOTS of rain. Tons of rain. The yard is still too wet/mushy/gushy to rake. I see people out raking already, but my yard is mostly on a slope so the wet kind of sits there until lots of warmth and sun dries it enough, otherwise you're just raking mud.

All of the 'warm weather stuff' is beginning to open, all of the fun places to take kids for an outing and whatnot.

I'm trying to refrain from pulling plastic from the rest of the windows, what with daytime temps next week supposedly being in the low fifties, and night time temps supposedly ranging from twenty nine - thirty six degrees..well it may just be a bit too soon.

It amazes me that we have moved just an hour north of where we had lived, that the weather it that much different. I'm sure central CT must be budding out all over already.
