New PostSeptember 28 - Photoshop Tip

New Post

Non-destructive dode and burn. I'm passing along a tip that I read in After CaptureExternal Link magazine. Non destructive dodging and burning.

Create a new layer. Fill that layer with 50% gray. (Edit-Fill-Choose 50% gray). Change the blend mode of the layer to 'Soft Light'. Grab a brush. Use black to burn and white to dodge. You can vary the opacity of the brush and/or vary the opacity of the layer to archive the level of highlight and shadow that you desire. Flatten and you are good to go!

This technique works quite well. Give it a try.
