July 18 - Fast Weekend Etc.

Monday morning is a-comin'. That sure went fast, and I did practically nothing the whole weekend except for the basic daily household chores. And that is exactly how I planned it to be. Baby sitting duties during the summer have me 'out straight' as they say.

I hate to even look at the calendar because I look today and it's mid July and I'll blink and it will be mid August. But look at it I must because I have to do something unpleasant. I have to call my orthopedist and schedule an appointment so I can get the fall surgery on my elbow scheduled. This is a contradictory event because on one hand I really want the full use of my primary arm back, but not looking forward at all to a 'big' surgery that will be mega painful, that will requite physical therapy and six months re-coup time.

On top of that I'm now going to be after school care also, and I'm worried about how this will affect that. We will see....I've only had two surgeries in my life. Tonsils and adenoids at the age of six and a pea sized benign lump removed at the age of 18. So I pretty much have zero experience with this sort of thing.
