July 17 - A Busy Summer

Oh yes life is busy. The fact that we are actually having a summer this year has meant active days around here thus far into summer. Life is so busy that it is just flying by between the babysitting and housework and outside work around here. Never let it be said that I am bored, because life during the summer doesn't slow down enough for boredom to set in. Heh....I'd actually welcome some boredom.

People may think that spending the summer days with an almost six year old and a pool is a piece of cake, but let me tell you that it isn't like lounging around....kids this age are very active and there is no such thing as lounging. No...we are swimming and racing and playing games in the water, mostly underwater. Outside of the pool we are bike riding and playing baseball and catch and soccer and tennis and a host of made up games. (And apparently it's quite funny when I run for I get "Run Dahtie run" accompanied by peals of laughter.) Inside the house we are playing on the floor.

And my nurse practitioner wanted to know if I exercise. Hrrmph, maybe I'm not doing jumping jacks, but I sure as hell am not sitting still!
