July 24 - Really?

Entering the last week of July. Really? Where oh where has the month gone off to? I'm really not ready for summer to be half over yet! It's like whoooosh, blink for a nano-second and a huge chunk of time has passed you by.

Haven't been in the pool since Wednesday, and that was just a quick dip to cool off from doing yard work under threatening skies. Which has been the story for several days now. I was going to go out earlier today but the sky blackened, the rain came down, and the thunder rumbled.

I hope August doesn't pass as quickly as the end of June and July has, but realistically I know better. I know it's going to fly so I'm going to savor it.

I really do wish that time would just slow the hell down you know? But it doesn't and I know this, but still it completely amazes me. Where are those long lazy summers of my youth? Remember? When the summer seemed to last for a long time?
